What is the role of the theatre in a time when the world is falling apart? Looking at current political developments in Germany Julia Wissert invites the audience to enjoy the moment of uncertainty and discomfort as a space full of potential. When there are no certainties we have to re/learn to understand uncertainty as a certainty. If anything is possible we need spaces which function as catalysts for these unstable processes. What if the role of theatre is exactly that? To be a heterotopian space in the middle of the city where the rules of one reality can be annulled and new realities can be brought into existence.
